Our Projects
Switch to reuse
Eliminate single-use cups and containers with re-universe. Our returns platform provides clients with options for deposits or holding charge, to encourage users to return reusable containers for wash and reuse. This system simplifies participation for users and integration for organisations, eliminating the need for in-person refunds at tills.
Initially proven at Blenheim Palace and successfully expanded across the Blenheim estate, our platform is now live at the Eden Project.
Our intelligent data driven approach and flexible platform makes it a practical choice for widespread adoption.
No app, no faff, just tap
Our technology streamlines the reuse process by eliminating the need for apps and scanning. Users just tap their payment card at the point of purchase to pay a deposit or authorise a hold, this can either be integrated into our clients system or as stand-alone.
When users return the container to a return point, the system instantly verifies the return, refunds the deposit, or cancels the hold. This fuss-free approach “No app, no faff, just tap” makes sustainable practices accessible and convenient for everyone, ensuring a smoother transition to reuse.
Deposit Return Schemes
Pioneers of Digital DRS, we’ve run pilots for organisations wanting to explore the benefits of digital DRS for single-use drinks containers and the ease and convenience that it can bring. Users pay a small deposit at point of purchase and get it back at return.
Our 2 world-first pilots on single-use drinks containers in Whitehead NI and Dublin saw high engagement and an impressive 94% return rate.

Recycling initiatives
At The Championships 2022, we teamed up with evian and Wimbledon for a “scan, recycle, win” promotion, making it easy for visitors to participate in recycling. Without needing an app, attendees simply scanned a QR code on their drink containers or at designated points to access our straightforward return platform, seamlessly integrating sustainability into their event experience.
Following its successful implementation, evian partnered with us to introduce a similar recycling scheme at Sainsbury’s during Recycle Week 2022. This initiative encouraged shoppers to recycle their single-use drink containers and offered them a chance to win prizes in a free draw.
